Bill’s innovative work led to co-founding White Men as Full Diversity Partners and the development of WMFDP’s provocative approach to engaging white male business leaders in inclusion efforts. For over 35 years, he has served as a leadership development consultant, coach and facilitator to countless organizations and executives around the globe on issues surrounding team effectiveness, cultural competency, and inclusion. He is a sought after speaker, writer, and thought-leader at the intersection of diversity and inclusion and leadership.

In 1995, Michael partnered with Bill Proudman to co-found White Men as Full Diversity Partners (WMFDP), and for thirty years has worked extensively with organizations around the world to grow courageous leadership skills, transform conflict, and create cultures of full inclusion.
Michael is the author of the book, Four Days To Change: 12 Radical Habits to Overcome Bias and Thrive in a Diverse World. The book is based on 20 years of pioneering workshops engaging white male leaders and building leadership skills. Earlier in his career Michael facilitated interracial team-building with over a dozen South African corporations in his work with Outward Bound. His research on how white men learn about diversity led to founding WMFDP.

Amalia Alarcón Morris

Amalia has partnered with WMFDP for over 14 years as a senior consultant, working with government jurisdictions across the west region to dismantle institutional racism. She spent over 35 years working with underserved and under-engaged communities to improve access to community services, healthcare and the political process. Amalia became invested in diversity and inclusion efforts after witnessing poignant discrimination against her mother while applying for disability assistance, and she has become a strong advocate for justice and Latinx culture. During her schooling, Amalia studied theater and communications at the University of Miami.

Jacki Bearce

Jacki is focuses on the intersection of race and gender and has worked with organizations to increase communication and diversity. As an African-American woman, psychologist, and experienced counselor, Jacki uses her unique insight to support WMFDP consultants, as needed, during their facilitations. She is trained in individual counseling from humanistic, behavioral, and cognitive points of view as well as being experienced in group facilitation and consultation. Jacki was formerly director of the Counseling Center at Amherst College. She graduated from Merrimack College and has her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Massachusetts.

Anita Bhasin

Anita joined WMFDP in 2017, with over 12 years of experience in consulting. Her background is primarily in business, with a more recent emphasis on blending organizational development, inclusion, leadership development and organization effectiveness for maximum impact. She has a bachelor’s degree in business studies and a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Wales, and a Master’s degree in organizational development from Pepperdine University. In addition to supporting others in changing their mindsets around power and privilege, Anita enjoys family, friends and food.

Claire supports our clients in the logistics of each product delivery. She joined WMFDP in May 2017 through a temp agency, and then came aboard fulltime as the Client Services Manager. During her college years, she studied psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a minor in leadership studies. Many of her courses centered around diversity and inclusion concepts, kickstarting her learning journey. She continues to learn more and more every day. When not in the office, Claire enjoys hiking, knitting, baking, cooking and family time.

Jim began working with WMFDP in 2018, bringing 25 years of experience in facilitating workshops in organizations, and 15 years of working in the leadership development space. He was inspired to work with WMFDP so that he can contribute here and learn to be an effective community builder in his own world. Jim has a master’s degree in applied behavioral science from Bastyr University in Seattle and became a certified leadership coach through The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara. He is particularly passionate about using rhythm as a tool for group development and ignition of the human spirit.

Merrilee joined WMFDP in January 2008. She supports our consultants, who deliver the work, and our clients, who desire to move ahead on their D&I journey. Merrilee became involved in our diversity and inclusion efforts after realizing she wanted to make a difference and contribute to the work that WMFDP does. In addition to improving workplace diversity, Merrilee is passionate about taking care of the environment and being kind to one another. She graduated from Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA.

Kendra Carpenter has over 15 years of experience designing and facilitating learning that enables leaders and teams to develop greater global agility and cross-cultural competency. She has designed and launched inclusive workplace programs that shifted team behaviors. Originally from the US, she has lived and worked globally, training individuals at Fortune 500 companies to communicate more effectively within diverse teams and with global partners. Kendra holds a master’s degree in intercultural relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. When she’s not facilitating, she enjoys time with her family and her daily yoga and meditation practice.

Wendy joined the WMFDP team July 2018, and works in our Curriculum and Consulting area, overseeing curriculum research and instructional design to ensure our work is engaging and transformative. Wendy earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Nevada at Reno, and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Montana State University in Bozeman. She is a lifelong learner dedicated to interrupting the school-to-prison pipeline, supporting women in STEM, mindfulness and meditation, biking and running, being in nature, addressing climate change and being a mother to two college students.

Donna has worked as a consultant for over 30 years. Her current work is focused on building cultures where we can all grow and thrive by creating change processes to remove prejudice and discrimination between individuals and within groups and organizations. Donna studied organizational development at the American University Washington, DC, and psychology and zoology at Miami University in Ohio. She is passionate about promoting inclusion, peace, harmony and love, and creating A Ray of Hope Shines Forever™ playroom in a children’s hospital.

Mark is highly skilled at helping clients clarify and align their mission, vision and values. He creates results-driven structures and processes for organizational growth as well as helping companies develop effective strategies and teams. Mark has authored or co-authored several books and articles on experience-based learning and has designed and led leadership and team development courses for clients globally. He has developed and taught graduate level teacher training programs at Boston University, Indiana University, and Portland State University. He recently designed and facilitated a course on leadership at the Singapore Management University (SMU). Mark has a master’s and doctorate degree from Boston University and a bachelor degree from the University of Utah.

Cliff has consulted with a broad range of organizations for over 25 years. His work includes, leadership development, team building, supervision, conflict resolution, group facilitation and nonprofit board development. He’s worked with hundreds of organizations and thousands of leaders in building strong effective organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Community Services and Public Affairs from the University of Oregon with a focus on community education and Social Psychology. Cliff is a recipient of the Nordstrom’s Diversity Award. He has a long standing connection with the Nonprofit Association of Oregon and is co-founder and key consultant of their diversity, equity and inclusion capacity building program.

When not supporting our clients in how to best bring diversity and inclusion to their teams, Sihaya enjoys playing with her new kitten and adventure traveling.

Ethan brings 15+ years of working with businesses, government agencies, nonprofits and schools. His expertise lies in facilitating experiential learning to help leaders address their challenges and opportunities around urgent social issues. He brings an integrated perspective on how our bodies, minds and hearts experience issues of diversity and inclusion. Ethan earned a BS in biology from Bates College and an MSEd in educational leadership from Bank Street Graduate School. He enjoys dancing, gardening, hiking, playing with his daughter and gathering with friends around the fire.

Rachel supports our Client Services and Finances departments and the operation of the office. She first joined our team through a temp agency in February 2018, and in mid-April came aboard full time. Rachel has a BA in visual arts from the University of Chicago and an MBA in finance/risk management and insurance from Georgia State University. Prior to joining WMFDP, she worked with refugees in Atlanta, served as a civilian in the Air Force and volunteered with an AmeriCorps team to support diverse communities throughout the southeastern United States. Outside the office, Rachel enjoys trying out alternate ways to travel the city without her car.

Mary is a business change consultant and executive coach who has been working with executives from Fortune 500 companies in leadership positions for 15 years. In her work Mary draws upon psychology to create effective communication and team development strategies. She works with individuals and teams to open pathways for bringing heart, deeper purpose, passion and true calling into their lives and work. She was involved in groundbreaking research on women and leadership in higher education and was on the faculty at State University of New York at Albany, where she taught psychology, program design, evaluation and research methodology.

Rianna joined WMFDP in 2018, bringing 40+ years’ experience in providing training, education, program design and facilitation and OD consultation in various sectors. Her work focuses on power dynamics in social systems, with a particular focus on undoing racism, sexism and other systems of oppression. She holds a master’s degree in OD and a PhD in human and organization systems from Fielding Graduate University. She is also a Track Champion with WIN Insights, a 20-year member of NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science and an adjunct faculty at Georgetown University.

Jo Ann is a WMFDP co-founder, today serves as an executive coach and senior organization development consultant, passionate about inspiring courageous leadership, dialogue work and designing transformative learning sessions. She has more than twenty years of experience in executive coaching and development. Her corporate career spanned engineering, information technology and organizational development. Engineering management taught Jo Ann to lead large organizations and maximize gender as a leadership competency. Her Integral Coaching practice focuses on courageous leadership, team development, executive coaching and organizational development. Through teaching thoughtful learning application she produces remarkable enterprise-wide results. Jo Ann is currently working towards a doctorate in Human Development with a concentration in Transformative Learning and Social Justice.

Jim has 30 years of experience working and leading in purpose-driven consulting organizations. At WMFDP, he directs and supports our team of consultants and facilitators, as they deliver one-of-a-kind world-class services to WMFDP clients, globally. He’s also responsible for the integrity and excellence of program delivery, curriculum development and innovation, and instructional design of WMFDP’s programs. Jim began his journey with WMFDP in 2000 when he attended his first White Men’s Caucus and began working with WMFDP in addition to leadership development and coaching practice. The Caucus had a profound impact on Jim; and he began looking for ways to blend his work with WMFDP’s experiential approach to engaging white men in developing their own courageous leadership practices.
He’s been an adjunct faculty at Duke Leadership and Training Associates, Virginia Tech, The Executive Forum and The American Leadership Forum. He is the author of The Five Insights of Enduring Leaders, a book that teaches how to develop leadership traits, to uncover and enhance them in others and to inspire others to changes the world.

Janese joined WMFDP in 2018 after retiring from the Exelon Corporation, where she had served as the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. She led a small team in partnering with business leaders, HR teams, and employee resource groups to increase the diversity of the workforce and create an inclusive environment. Under Janese’s leadership, Exelon Corporation was recognized as one of the DiversityInc Top 50 companies for diversity and inclusion two years in a row. In the course of Janese’s career in Human Resources, she has held roles of increasing responsibility at CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield and Black and Decker.

Peggy joined WMFDP in 2013 as our Chief Operating Officer after contracting for many years as a senior consultant. She specializes in leadership development, diversity and inclusion, cultural awareness, cross-cultural coaching, diversity assessments, planning and implementation, team building, sexual harassment prevention and potentiating the human spirit at work. Peggy majored in East Asian studies at Vassar College before earning a master’s in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica and a JD degree from Lewis and Clark Law School. She has dedicated her life to justice, equity and inclusion, helping people to speak their truth, fully express themselves and be heard.

Noah has a B.A. in black feminist and an M.Ed. in urban education. He is highly passionate about advocating for Black Lives Matter, Me Too and children, and enjoys spending time with his family.

Steve is an experiential consultant and dynamic facilitator. His humanistic approach uses strategies that combine the head and heart in a participative process focused on individual growth. He has more than 25 years experience in organizational development and teaching. Steve serves as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Executive MBA Program. Steve received a MS in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is an avid cyclist and travels internationally to gain greater appreciation for diversity. Steve is active with the Shivas Irons Society and gratefully supports the All Burma Monks Alliance.

Bo uses training and consultant work as a lever for changing the culture and systems in organizations. His belief is that the usual focus on training individuals is insufficient for creating a sustained inclusive work environment. Bo became involved in diversity and inclusion efforts as a natural extension to his early work in international relations and addressing social issues, such as drug abuse, in US communities. He has been a consultant for 45 years, and has worked with multinational and US corporations, US and other governments and private and nonprofit organizations. Bo studied organization psychology at American University.

Rich has spent the bulk of his career facilitating large-scale culture change within the manufacturing, healthcare and conservation industries. He took a break from that career in 2000 to pursue an interest in medicine. After two years of pre-med, he decided to major in biology and head toward teaching high school biology. Life intervened and he helped raise his grandson instead. He reentered his consulting and facilitating career two years ago, now with the focus of diversity and inclusivity. In his free time, Rich enjoys creating sculptures from bones he finds while hiking in the mountains.

Tom Schiff partnered with WMFDP in April 2019. He has over 35 years of experience as consultant and educator with organizations ranging from small local non-profits to the National Football League. Tom is the founder and director of Phallacies, Inc., an organization that engages men in critical intersectional conversations and direct action to challenge unhealthy mainstream ideas of masculinity and foster physical and emotional health and community well-being. He holds an Ed.D. in Organization Development from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he continues to serve as an adjunct faculty.

Pam Shelly

Pam joined WMFDP in 2001 attended Oregon State University, Portland State and Lewis and Clark College. She studied psychology, philosophy, teaching and educational administration. While in college, she noticed that women of color weren’t “allowed” to pledge or join sororities, and she spent those years marching against the Vietnam War and trying to understand issues of diversity and the law. Even now, she knows there’s a lot to learn and a lot that doesn’t make sense. On a daily basis, she reads, notices, has conversations about and sometimes intervenes when Issues of diversity and inclusion arise. Pam is also very passionate about travel, health issues, relationships and working with children and adults.

Gwendoline is our Business Development and Marketing Manager. She joined WMFDP in May 2019 to further develop our communications and outreach efforts. Gwendoline draws from her bicultural upbringing and studies in anthropology and journalism and work experience in advertising and communications and leading a nonprofit to advance WMFDP’s mission of creating more inclusive and diverse workplaces. Gwendoline has long been passionate about creating a better tomorrow for everyone, looking at how we shift ourselves and our culture to include the diversity of voices, ideas and representations necessary for a vibrant future for us all. In her spare time, Gwendoline loves to play outdoors and explore different corners of the globe.

Mark partnered with WMFDP in 2018, and is known for his unique ability to integrate conceptual frameworks, research and diagnostics with web-based tools and multimedia in his facilitation work with organizations, teams and small groups. He is the founder and co-creator of WIN Insights and has conducted over 200 diversity training presentations. Mark is a highly regarded thought leader, consultant, coach, public speaker and author of five books, including the best-selling book entitled “The 10 Lenses, Their Guide to Living and Working in a Multicultural World.” He has conducted extensive research in the field of identity and diversity with leading firms such as Gallup, Zogby, Harris and Survey USA. Mark holds a master’s degree in organizational psychology from the American University.
